A private, single-operator tool for uploading our own videos to our own YouTube channels.
This is an internal command-line tool used by the owner of this site to publish finished videos to YouTube channels that the owner controls. It is not a product, not a service offered to anyone else, and has no public sign-up. It runs locally on the operator's own computer.
Its entire job is these four steps, run once per finished episode:
Only the owner of this site. There is one operator, one computer, and no hosted server. The application has no user accounts and no way for a third party to sign in.
The tool asks the operator to sign in with Google and requests these scopes:
youtube.upload — to upload the operator's own video files.youtube.force-ssl — to set the thumbnail, fill in video details, and post the
operator's own comment.yt-analytics.readonly — to read the operator's own channel performance figures. The tool never reads, changes or deletes anyone else's content, and never deletes videos. How the resulting data is handled is described in our privacy policy.
Questions about this tool or its Google account access can be sent to the site owner through the contact details on toannguyenota.com.
